Three shops will be closing at Downtown Disney, Disneyland Resort’s dining and shopping area.
Build-A-Bear Workshop, Chapel Hats and Ridemakerz will soon close in order to make room for more dining facilities in the area, according to a Disneyland Resort spokesperson.
The shops are reportedly popular, but apparently the need for more restaurant space is more pressing. There is currently no space to relocate the shops, but a Disney official said if a situation arose where they could be put, it would be evaluated.
Build-A-Bear allows kids and parents to create their own Teddy Bear from nearly 30 options, plus add-ons such as clothing and more. Chapel Hats, which has been open for a little more than a year, and sells an assortment of fancy hats. Lastly, Ridemakerz allows shoppers to fully customize and create their own toy car or truck, complete with battery-powered remote-controlled motor.
