Disney Dining: New space-themed restaurant opening in Epcot

Disney space-themed restaurant in Epcot

While Disney announced plans for a new Star Wars-themed Resort, that won’t be the only addition to the parks that’ll give guests an out-of-this-world experience. The company announced this weekend plans to create a new restaurant at Epcot “that’ll offer amazing meals with spectacular views high above Earth – from space.”

While you may eat among the stars in outer space, guests won’t have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to enjoy their meal. The new restaurant will be located adjacent to the park’s Mission: SPACE attraction.

Walt Disney Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald shared a first look at the restaurant during the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts presentation at D23 Expo 2017.

“We know our guests love dining at Epcot – and the restaurants really are out of this world,” Tom said. “Now we’re about to create one that takes that literally.”

The new space-themed restaurant will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group, which also operates several other restaurants at Walt Disney World including Tutto Italia and Via Napoli at Epcot and Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs.

There’s no word yet on when guests can expect this new restaurant to be open, but stay tuned as we learn more in the coming months.
